Philly Shipyard AS is an investment holding company with a history of investment in maritime operations. Operating since 1998, Philly Shipyard has successfully delivered numerous commercial vessels, including containerships, product tankers, Aframax tankers, and training vessels.

Philly Shipyard AS is majority-owned by Aker Capital AS, which in turn is wholly-owned by Aker ASA (Aker). Aker is an industrial investment company that exercises active ownership to create value.

On July 15, 2024, it was announced that Philly Shipyard ASA signed a Share Purchase Agreement with Hanwha to sell its operating subsidiary, Philly Shipyard, Inc. (PSI). This transaction closed in December 2024. For information regarding Hanwha Philly Shipyard, please go to

Effective 10 September 2025, Philly Shipyard ASA was delisted from Euronext Expand. The last trading day for the Company’s shares was 9 September 2025.
